fokus 2009: German-Polish youth network!

„fokus 2009” is a German polish network project for youth and children with an intercultural character. It works in the region of the target group and directly on young interests and ideas.

First we started to build up a network. All network partners organise small projects for their presentation platform, the so called “fokusfestival”. We coach and care about all participants (organisations and projects) very intensively.

One week before “fokusfestival” we organised an awareness-week for youth culture. In cooperation with our partners we created regional events (cinema events,
exhibitions, concerts, workshops ecc.) around the topic and discussed it. In a media workshop we documented everything and spread all information, video clips and podcasts in our online-network so that all German and Polish youth can get the information from our project.

The festival highlighted all activities around the project. We organised a scope for all network partners and participants. We arranged a big cultural program and we showed our guests which activities are situated in the region. Still we are in close contact to our target group and have a high quality standard in setting up our program and planning our activities.

ARSjada – art festival and camp on HEL (Poland)

Our open air is a festival containing of art. Its main aim is to show how to spent leisure time constructively in an attractive and creative way. It should motivate people to have contact with art and culture. We want to raise plastic awareness of youth, students from Academies of Arts, adult tourists and children and show them that art could integrate people from different communities where creators, young artists, children, youth and adults can meet.
Organizers not only want the participants to improve their technique, but also to integrate the artistic community and exchange of ideas among students. The all-day classes with Polish and German artists collectively created solid works and various cultural program will lead to those things.
Aside from classes we also planed lectures given by art theoreticians and professional artists. The classes will bring up the subject matter of modern art, traditional painting techniques, composition and psycho-physiology.
There will be the gallery near the camp, where all participants could present their works; it also will be possible in other galleries and places in Hel.
Apart from ARS-camp we planed artistic classes with children and adult tourists on the beach, where they can learn how to create by various techniques. The aim of this is to fulfil their leisure time by playing, shape plastic abilities and arouse sensitivity.
We also planned other events, like concerts, performances, happenings, open-air cinema and a variety of competitions to vary the time of participants and tourists.

This is the name of a fusion between different styles of music. We will have some artists in concert. All are playing another style with a same basis. So let us call this a a musical experimental fusion. The concert takes place at Nostomo Club (Görlitz-Zgorzelec) on 25/04/2009. We hope, that we will find some participants, joining the experiment.

FOKUS/Nachlese/Show – finished

We created an exhibition concept of last yerars FOKUSfestival. We had been on tour for 1 month in the region of East Saxony to show the experiences and aims of that festival. In each city we made a live performance with some regional street artists. Thanks to Allianz insurance in Bautzen, Autohaus Lust in Görlitz and the festival frequency ngo!!!

Probleme, die scheinbar keiner lösen kann, nehmen wir als Grundlage für unsere Motivation. Menschen, die keine Zukunftsperspektiven besitzen, Regionen, die von Abwanderung und Radikalismus geprägt sind und Spannungen, die in grenznahen Gebieten Desinteresse fördern und Nachbarschaftsgefühle vertreiben, gehören zu unserem Alltagsbild. Armut und Kriminalität sind da nichts besonderes. Die Liste ist lang. Doch anstatt nur dagegen zu wettern, nehmen wir unsere ganze positive Energie zusammen und unterstützen alles, was es verdient: jedes noch so kleine Jugendprojekt, talentierte Musiker, regionale Bildungsinstitutionen, engagierte Jugendliche und Jugendgruppen, regionale Jugend- und Sportvereine, begnadete Künstler und jeden, der uns noch einfällt oder sich bei uns meldet. FOKUSfestival nimmt Bildung, Kunst und Jugendliche der Region genau unter die Lupe, gibt ihnen Öffentlichkeit, unterstützt sie und vernetzt die vorhandenen Strukturen. FOKUSfestival ist eine Jugend- und Freizeitmesse der besonderen Art, denn FOKUSfestival ist interaktiv, hält sich nicht an konventionelle Strukturen und arbeitet szenebezogen. FOKUSfestival ist grenzüberschreitend und sieht das als sein wichtigstes Merkmal! Deutsch-polnische Jugendarbeit, Vermittlung von Bildung und Kultur im europäischen Sinn! Das ist FOKUSfestival.

Spuren des Lebens 2004

Zur Bewerbung der Kulturhauptstadt Görlitz-Zgorzelec 2010 organisierte der Second Attempt e.V. ein alternatives Kunstprojekt. Ziel des Projektes war es junge Künstler aus Deutschland und Polen in Gewerbebrachen ihr künstlerisches Potential zu entfalten und dadurch die Aufmerksamkeit auf das Thema Leerstand und Nutzungsalternativen zu lenken. Zusätzlich konnten junge Künstler der Region eine Präsentationsplattform ohnes Gleichen erfahren. Drei Monate standen drei Gewerbebrachen in Görlitz zur Verfügung. Jeden Monat gab es neue Ausstellungen und entsprechende Vernissage-Aktionen mit Parties, Action-Painting, Kino und Dinner. Das Projekt wurde in Kooperation mit dem Kulturhauptstadtbüro, der Hochschule Zittau/Görlitz und dem Stadtjugendring Görlitz organisiert.

Kunst:Pause Jugendtheaterfest 2004

Dr. Albrecht Götze des Theater!Görlitz hatte Anfang 2004 die Idee eines Theaterfestes, welches uns aus Dresden seit langem ein postiver Begriff war. Der Second Attempt e.V. war interessiert und vermittelte nicht nur Bands und Künstler für das junge alternative Fest am Theater. Die Vorbereitung, Durchführung und Betreuung des Graffiti-Contests an der Theater-Mauer und dem beistehenden Stromhaus war die Hauptaufgabe des Vereins. Ca. 30 Maler aus der Region nutzten die Möglichkeit sichkünstlerisch auszuleben. Die erste künstlerisch freie bemalter Mauer in der Görlitzer Innenstadt war die Folge! Der negative Beigeschack: Leider wurde die Theatermauer 3 Monate darauf abgerissen und die wunderschönen Kunstwerke waren dahin. Das Stromhaus steht jedoch bis heute.
